Creche 2023 - 10 weeks

  Talk time ;  Does anyone know what day it is today?  Its Easter Sunday.  Does anyone know what Easter is all about?  Have a chat about chocolate and whatever the kids think Easter is.  Some will know its about Jesus.  Tell them that we are going to hear the Easter story today and pray that we will all understand what Jesus has done for us. Lesson  Give the children the story cups and help them to turn them as they hear the story Jesus showed people what God is like.  He was good, kind, He made sick people better, He fed people who were hungry and He told lots of stories to help people understand that God is our Father and He loves us.   All the things Jesus said and did were GOOD.   Do you think everyone liked Jesus?  Well, lots of people did but some people didnt understand what He was saying.  They didnt want to change what they thought or how they lived.  They didnt want to follow Jesus because they tho...

   Talk time :   Palm  Sunday so we will have had a donkey outside.   This might bring up a  whole conversation in itself!!!  If  not  then.......What did everyone do yesterday?   Chat about the weekend and then pray giving thanks for whatever comes up or praying about anything the children want to pray for.  Lesson ;  Show the kids an easter egg.  ( make sure that if you have any wee ones who cant have chocolate that you have something else as a treat as well - or maybe have a lactose free egg in case of intolerances)   Let them talk about what it is and ask them if they know what Easter is.   Tell them they can have some chocolate if they sit very quietly and listen really well (!)  Talk time.    Today is Mothers day - that means its a day when we say thank you to God for our Mummy.  And we are especially kind and nice to our Mums today. We give them hugs and kisses and tell them that we love them.   We can do that every single day of course, but Church wants to make sure that all Mums know how special they are so today we think about and pray for our Mums especially hard. What does your Mummy do for you?  Mummies work awfully hard for us and they love us very much so we are going to pray and ask God to be really good to our Mums.  Lets pray that God gives them a big hug and a kiss today and makes them smile and be very happy.    Pray Lesson ; Do you remember what Jesus's Mummy was called?
